South Omaha Turns Out as Pete Buttigieg Rallies for Denise Powell

Neighbors filled Metro Community College's South Omaha campus for a rally behind Denise Powell, with Pete Buttigieg headlining the night. First-time supporters and longtime believers stood side by side to hear why this race matters and to back the blue dot candidate in person. A national voice like Buttigieg turning up put a spotlight on what people here have been building for months. For a grassroots movement, a full house with a headliner is proof the Wave is being felt well beyond Nebraska.
